A typical Highland cottage in the centre of Drumnadrochit and (nearly) next to Fiddlers Restaurant and Malt Whisky Bar (open from Easter to October)
You will find parking off road and right outside the cottage, free Wifi and a small enclosed grassed area with a table and chairs. also a lockable bike store (please request when booking)
Just for two this 'Wee' cottage offers a surprisingly spacious kitchen diner with a wood burning stove, PLUS a cosy sitting room with flat screen smart TV and upstairs a double bedroom and a bathroom with an electric shower over a bath, large basin and loo.
As per many of these traditional cottages in the area upstairs has restricted headroom and lower doors, but you quckly get used to it and it certainly adds to the character of this great wee cottage. The stairs are a little steep, absolutly normal and have great oar handrails, just so you know.
Four legged friends are very welcome with NO charge (we provide throws, old towels and a welcome pack) if they do not require any extra cleaning after their stay we are happy for them to visit also. Please do let us know they are coming. Lots of the loacal bars and cafes allow dogs.
House Rules
Nothing onerous we promise!
Respect our neighbours - no1. No noise late please and if you leave early don't slam the car doors! We have all been here for over 20 years and know each other well. They have my
number as I have theirs. Say hello if you see them, they are all lovely.
No parties, smoking or extra guests! We have a Short Term Let licence issued by the Highland Council this gives us permission to let and we have some boundaries. One of these is the number of guests.
No electric car charging (or storing electric bikes inside)
there is a EV charger across the road I believe.
Leave the cottage in the condition you find it please. We don't want you to hoover or actually clean, you are on holiday after all but please make an effort and wash dishes or put them in the dishwasher (none of this 3 cups and a bowl in there please - we should all try to save the planet!) There is a leaving procedure in the folder - have a look and follow as much as you like.
Lastly dogs - woof! Always, always welcome. Probably only
two max but we have had three little ones. We don't charge for them to stay BUT we do ask you clean up any stray hairs, wipe away any mud and general tidy up after them. No poo left in the garden please. We have never asked anyone after they have left to pay for damages as this just hasn't happened! The owners though! Kidding....please be good or we will change this. You can leave them home
alone (for a short time of course) IF you are absolutly sure they are cool. I wouldn't leave mine, you know your dog(s)
They will be heard if they bark and damage will be paid for.
That was the serious bit.....please do ask if you would like me to clarify any of it.
Thank you - Kate
